REUSING SOCKS

Is it really over and your socks are beyond saving? Here are some tips on what they can be used for instead.

Cleaning cloth

Worn nylon stockings are absolutely magical when it comes to polishing shoes. Store them in the shoe box until the next time it's time to take care of the shoes.

Soft bamboo socks are perfect as cleaning cloths for slightly more sensitive surfaces.

Help in the garden

A tip from a gardening program is to fill leca balls in nylon stockings and put them in the bottom of a pot. That way, you can easily separate the soil from the balls when it's time to replant.

Or if you need to weigh down a couple of branches? Fill a pair of knee socks with stone and tie the sock shaft around the crotch. Clever, right!?
