Trebic is an old historic town with several protected cultural heritage sites surrounded by rolling hills in the southern Czech Republic.
The company is part of the city's dramatic history as it was founded by the world-renowned entrepreneur Tomáš Baťa in 1935. 14 years later the factory was taken over by the communist regime and then privatized again by Mr. Svoboda who still runs the company with the vision of continuing the city's tradition of sock making .
The factory is today one of the country's largest manufacturers of socks and many of the employees have worked in the company since they were apprentices.

Just outside of Vilnius is this sock factory, which today is part of one of Scandinavia's largest suppliers of underwear. The company started making socks over a hundred years ago and is constantly developing the factory and production equipment to deliver the highest quality socks.

In the town of Barcelos in northern Portugal, this family business works to develop compression technology and produce high-quality products.
The company was already founded in 1921 by Joao Duarte who, in addition to being a strong industrialist, was also known as a champion of social security for the female employees. He introduced a social insurance system for factory employees and also a childcare department.
Today, it is Joao Duarte's grandson who proudly runs the factory with the same ethical principles on which the company was founded almost a hundred years ago.

In the old cultural area of Braga is this family-owned company that runs one of the most modern and high-tech sock factories in the world – production is mostly done by robots and with 200-needle knitting machines, which increases the durability of the socks.
The company was founded by Manuel, who has worked in the textile industry his entire professional career, and today he runs the factory together with his two sons. The company has several certifications that show both a high quality standard and how they work to create a safe workplace with environmentally conscious manufacturing.
The factory is powered by 100 percent renewable electricity and uses the latest sustainable materials.
